Samsung learned this lesson the hard way last month when they inadvertently shared company information with ChatGPT while exploring its services. By doing so, they unfortunately added private company information to ChatGPT’s data repository.

How can you ensure your organization is safely leveraging AI, whether it’s ChatGPT or anything else in the long line of AI tools on the rise in the ITAM and SaaS space? The key to ensuring your organization is not at risk is being completely aware of who is using the service and when they are using it.

In order to expose these unknowns, you must have actionable intelligence on the consumption of software and services in your environment, including data points such as:

Who is using specific SaaS applications with AI capabilities?
What information is being shared?
How is the application using this information?
