Snow Software 2021 IT Priorities Report

Given the unprecedented challenges IT faced in 2020, many leaders are struggling with how to orient their teams and resources heading into the new year. In this report, Snow surveyed 1,000 IT leaders and 3,000 employees from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and Australia to better understand the larger shifts that they faced over the past 12 months and how organizations must pivot their technology priorities in 2021.    

Some of the issues driving IT agendas include: 

• 63% of IT leaders say that technology management has become more difficult. 
• 87% of IT leaders reported that they were audited by a software vendor in the past 12 months.
• Managing cybersecurity threats (43%), implementing new technologies (40%) and supporting remote work (39%) were their top challenges reported by IT leaders.
• 41% of workers acknowledged that access to technology has improved.
• 16% of workers do not believe unmanaged or unaccounted for technology causes any business issues.
  

The report also explores the tools and strategies IT leaders need to conquer these challenges. Notably, those with complete visibility and manageability of their technology resources were better positioned to deliver on their organization’s priorities.
